The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. You may share what has brought you to therapy, what you have been experiencing, and what you hope might change. We will also talk about your history and discuss how therapy may support you moving forward.

The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and the complexity of what you are working through. Some people attend for a shorter period to focus on a specific concern, while others find longer-term therapy helpful to explore deeper patterns and create lasting change.
Many people begin with weekly sessions, particularly at the start of therapy, as this helps build momentum and continuity. Over time, sessions may become less frequent depending on your needs.

Sessions take place through a secure video platform such as Zoom, similar to a video call. You attend the session from a private space where you feel comfortable. Online therapy allows you to access support without travel, while still maintaining a meaningful therapeutic connection.
Research has shown that telehealth therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many concerns. What matters most is the quality of the therapeutic relationship and the consistency of sessions.

Yes. For couples sessions, partners usually sit together in the same room and join the session from the same screen. This helps maintain a shared therapeutic space during the conversation.

Yes. If you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral from your GP, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates for psychology sessions. Under the current Medicare system, eligible clients can receive rebates for up to 10 psychology sessions per calendar year with a Mental Health Treatment Plan.

Therapy is often seen as an investment in your mental health, just as you might see someone about an injury. As a private clinic there are out-of-pocket costs when using a GP Mental Health Care Plan.
